Why do we need dub?
The rise of commission-free investing and social media has revolutionized the way people invest - it's no longer about sitting behind a bunch of screens and watching numbers but following influential people and ideas. We've seen this with meme stocks, crypto, and new star investors like Cathie Woods. But the system lacks trust - those same narratives lost retail billions when they came crashing down.
People need a way to easily copy someone else's investments with full transparency. This experience already exists - but only for the ultrawealthy. They can give their money to the Goldman Sachs of the world or invest in a top Hedge Fund and watch their wealth compound - effectively picking a professional to invest for them. The average investor deserves the same experience. And that's dub.
What is dub?
dub's built the first platform where you can copy someone's investments automatically in a single tap while seeing their validated performance. Or you can be the investor who gets copied by creating and sharing a portfolio, or a basket of stocks like an ETF. Simply open a dub brokerage account, deposit funds like you would with Fidelity, and you're ready to start copying or being copied.
By providing a platform for investment talent to showcase their expertise and enabling others to copy their portfolios, we’re democratizing access to the world of asset management and hedge funds. dub is like eBay for investing.
The ultimate vision is a decade from now, people won’t be picking stocks. They will be picking people to copy on dub. We’re at the precipice of a new movement - and reimagining the world of fund management.
Important to note is dub is also the first broker-dealer, member FINRA, to offer copy-trading to US investors.
Who can you copy?
On day one, a group of influential investors recognized dub as a platform to showcase their investment portfolios to get copied. This group is comprised of renowned investing personalities on X and SeekingAlpha, as well as current and former hedge fund managers from firms like Millennium Management. Eventually, you'll be able to copy other dub users as well. While we don't endorse or recommend any particular creator, dub aims to enable any investor, from a budding college talent to the biggest hot shot manager on Wall Street, to offer their portfolios on dub.
